Global Domains International MLM Review
Global Domains International, WebSite.ws, or GDI, is an international company owned by Michael Starr and Alan Ezeir that offers domain names and web hosting.
GlobalDomainsInternational started way back in November 1999.
They have a 5 tier MLM structure that allows you as a GDI distributor to make some money getting other people to sign up with their .ws domains.
Our Top 5 Recommended Internet Businesses
Global Domains International only registers .ws domains… not .com, .net, .org, or any other domains.
Technically the .ws stands for Western Samoa, but GDI believes it’s more memorable than other domain extensions when you think of the .ws ending as “website” instead.
Some additional alternate names for GDI are listed with BBB as My.ws, WebSite.ws, and WorldSite.ws.
The cost to get a .ws domain through Global Domains International is $10 a month or $120 per year.
This includes the name, website, basic web hosting, an affiliate website, 10 Post Office Protocol (POP) email accounts, an email marketing system, a bulk emailer, and a few other services.

$120 per year for any extension domain name (.com, .net, .org, etc.) is completely absurd, .ws or otherwise.
I don’t know how good that basic hosting is, but everything else including the affiliate website should be included anyway at no cost.
I can’t believe that they are not including the marketing page or whatever to sell GDI with.
This is a very low-cost thing for them to provide.
It just comes off like they are stacking stuff in there to make it look like a better deal to the novice.
You can go to Godaddy.com right now and get the first YEAR of registration for only $9.99.
Although that $9.99 is a special first-year price, all following years are only $34.99.
That’s an $85.01 difference.
That’s over 3 and a half times cheaper than getting a .ws domain from Global Domains International.
When I said you could make some money as a Global Domains International distributor…
That’s because what you make for every person you sign up is one dollar a month for as long as they are paying GDI for their services.
To many people, that isn’t much.
To me, it’s a complete waste of time and resources.
Outside of GDI’s price for a domain name and hosting not being on the “cheap end” compared to many other well-known providers.
This seems to be the main issue people trying to build a business have with Global Domains International.
Others are concerned with the basic web hosting being fairly limited as well in comparison to other providers.
Global Domains International does have extra cash bonus contests in which you can possibly earn some more money by signing up multiple affiliates.
One of the rules for the contests is that you provide a written positive testimonial about GDI.
If you don’t want to personally sell anything, they do offer an ability for you to send Global Domains your own personal list.
They will email the people on the list about Global Domains International from you.
You can also buy “verified phone leads” from them for $3 each, as well as purchase GDI business cards.
That looks extremely expensive when you are only getting $1 per member or affiliate in your business.
That’s a whole lot of money and hard work for hardly anything in return.
So bottom line… is GDI a scam?
They are a reputable company that has been around for many years.
However, in my opinion, the negatives far outweigh the positives when it comes to trying to make a significant income (or even modest) through them.
There are simply many easier ways to make more money quicker than making $1 a month per signup as a Global Domains International affiliate.
