American Consumer Opinion Review

The American Consumer Opinion income opportunity is found at acop.com is a survey panel.

They were created by Decision Analyst in 1986 as a mail survey panel that went online in 1996 making it one of the first to move to the internet.

Despite the name, they are open to members from all over the world.

The compensation system is point-based, with 100 points equaling $1.00.

DISCLAIMER:

This review has been fully researched with information, comments, and testimonials that are available on the internet to anyone in the public space.

Any conclusions drawn by myself or anyone else on the ScamXposer staff are purely opinions.

You must have 1,000 points or a $10 minimum in order to cash out.

You can be paid by check or a deposit into your Paypal account, or you can choose to donate your earnings to a charity.

One aspect of American Consumer Opinion that is different from some paid survey companies is they do not actually post surveys on their site.

Rather company vice-president Ann Parks will email you a link to the web address of the survey.

For all surveys you qualify for and complete, you will receive between 100 and 5,000 points.

If you receive a screener (a shorter survey consisting of 20 questions or less), you will receive 10-50 points.

It is advised to complete the screeners as well, as those typically update your profile so you can get more full survey opportunities.

Also, for everyone you refer, that becomes a panelist with ACOP you get an entry into a monthly drawing for 5,000 points.

Frankly, that compensation appears to be on the low end as far as referrals go.

It appears most people who signed up and became panel members with ACOP are pleased with the amount of money they get paid per survey.

If there is an issue with this company, it is often that they simply do not get many survey opportunities.

Or they don’t qualify for many.

This is a common complaint in the industry.

To American Consumer Opinion’s credit, they do say in their FAQ section you could expect to receive several survey invitations a year.

Depending on your individual demographics, you could, of course, get many more.

Another program ACO has is an affiliate marketing program.

In this program, you put their banner on your own website.

For everybody that clicks on the banner and signs up with American Consumer Opinion, you get 50 cents.

In just over 15 years of being online, American Consumer Opinion has grown to have over 8 million panelists from around the world.

Nobody can make a living doing online surveys alone.

This would be a hobby at best to make a little extra month.

AmericanConsumerOpinion appears to be just as valuable as most reputable survey companies.

Otherwise, we don’t recommend it.

Update: A lot of members are complaining about either getting slowly paid, taking months to get paid, or not getting paid at all.

Member complaints are being met with deleted accounts or ignored inquiries from their support.

I do not recommend ACO paid surveys.

I have had it with this stupid company. I cashed out January 3, 2024, still no check yet. I have been contacting them and get no reply at all. Contacting via email and on their Facebook page, but now looking for a phone number. I will start calling them next. I fulfilled my end of the deal by doing these surveys. Now it’s time for them to pay me for all my efforts. It takes way too long to get your money, which is completely ridiculous.

I’ve been a panel member with this company for several years. They’ve been pretty good except when it comes to cash-outs. In this electronic age, cash-outs should almost be instantaneous. It’s already been 3 months, and I still haven’t seen my promised cash-out. The excuse being that their representatives have a limit as to how many cash-outs they can put out each week. That’s of no consolation and it’s pretty poor management in my opinion. I’ve decided it’s time to move on.

From my experience, there are very few surveys available. It’s impossible to make any decent income with American Consumer Opinion.

I cashed out June 20, 2017 and still have not received payment in my paypal account. I have to write to them every time I try to cash out, and it still takes almost 4 months. Opinion outpost uses paypal, and the money is deposited to paypal with 1 or 2 days. I will stop doing surveys for this company.

I cashed out $40 and it was approved on June 20, 2017. I was told up to 12 weeks for payment, which in itself is unheard of. Most survey sites pay within a couple day’s, some pay instantly. Well it’s October 5th, 2017, over 14 weeks and still no payment. I’ve emailed them numerous times and they either don’t respond or send me some response about how they are looking into it, a week has gone by since the last “we are looking into it”, with no further response. I complained about non payment on their FB page, along with hundreds of other users, and they blocked me. They delete and block all negative posts and only keep up the positive ones. Now they have blocked me from emailing them:
TOTAL SCAM- AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

Asked for a payout and after a month of waiting, they told me my account had been deleted. I finally got someone at the company. They explained that I answered questions too quickly and they would not pay. I had been with them for years, but they have been horrible for last year.

I cashed out my points on jan.30,2017 here it is may 11,2017 I have not received any money yet I have contacted them 2 times and was pretty much told I will get it when I get it.i will do no more surveys on this site and will delete my account if I ever get paid.they are the ones who adveriise when you cash in will be 8-12 weeks then act offended when you question them.sounds like a scam to me.

The only thing I did not like about ACOP is that the check arrived 1 and 1/5 months after the request
