Academy of Online Success Review

Academy of Online Success by Paul Birdsall and found at academyofonlinesuccess.com, are an email marketing system.

It’s yet another of Paul Birdsall’s risks that take more money in than the value he gives back for it.

This time around Birdsall’s “Academy of Online Success” internet marketing scheme includes email marketing training in several video lessons called the List Mastery Course for $25 dollars.

DISCLAIMER:

This review has been fully researched with information, comments, and testimonials that are available on the internet to anyone in the public space.

Any conclusions drawn by myself or anyone else on the ScamXposer staff in these reviews are purely opinions.

AcademyofOnlineSuccess goes through creating email lists and opt-in pages and generating traffic through Pay Per Click (PPC) and other ads in more video lessons.

They teach you all this basic info only to promote Paul Birdsall’s AOOS mostly.

But they say the training can be put towards any affiliate products through sources such as Clickbank, etc.

Then, of course, there are all the up sells Academy of Online Success can throw at you to make more money from you.

Meanwhile, Paul cleans up as an affiliate of those other things the more you buy.

Some of those upgrades include hosting, domain name and a website, a GetResponse autoresponder and more money on their more “advanced” traffic generation lessons.

Just about every experienced marketer prefers Aweber to GetResponse, as it does have its share of problematic glitches, so he may be making more money on the recommendation.

You have to check this out!

In fact, as soon as you join the upsells begin even before you get to whatever training they offer in the
AcademyofOnlineSuccess members area.

Some are not even related to the program.

Next comes the inevitable “upgrade” to the “Dean’s List” for an extra hundred bucks.

It’s tragic how most of these scams and schemes throw the word ‘academy’ around. They certainly are not that.

If you promote Academy of Online Success there are different levels in the compensation plan.

However, if you do not pay for the upgrades and someone joins under you and buys them you will not get compensated.

This kind of leveraging makes AcademyofOnlineSuccess a bit shady, but it’s typical of programs like this to get you to spend more.

Besides the upsells, Academy of Online Success recommends a $97 dollar plugin for your WordPress theme, which is useless, and other ‘spammy’ looking auto email templates.

Their email marketing techniques are not recommended for newcomers.

It can be costly to advertise through PPC and solo ads.

Most solo ads are scams as it is.

I will say Academy of Online Success’ suggestion to use Bing Ads can be useful to start with.

But again, for newcomers there is risky investment involved if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Some of the AcademyofOnlineSuccess techniques can get you traffic but as to the amount of people who would actually subscribe or buy your products is questionable.

Academy of Online Success offers no SEO training whatsoever, and that is something beginners should learn and understand as it is a good way of generating free traffic.

They also do not provide a members’ forum, which can be a very useful tool in legitimate programs for exchange of ideas and more.

Although the basic training that AOOS offers is thorough on the video lessons…

There are no follow up text tutorials accompanying any of the lessons, and that is an issue.

Again, with all the upsells and upgrades than can go as high as $500, there are just too many of them and they claim they are necessary to make Academy of Online Success function properly.

Academy of Online Success could be an ok program if they didn’t “carnie” it up to get you to spend more.

Especially when a lot of their work from home info can be found elsewhere online for cheaper or even free.

As we have stated in previous Birdsall articles, he has a mixed reputation as both notorious AND well known for his successes good or bad.

Many people have complained of having been taken for untold sums by him and his questionable business ventures like Streamline Funnel Systems, My Flex Job and other schemes.

Although it is not a scam, I do not recommend Academy of Online Success.

To paraphrase Arnold, “it’s not an academy!”

Thanks for reading the review.
